Ishtar (The Art of War and Love)

At last…
I wrote the oboe solo a couple of years ago, after having had the first part of it playing in my head for months. (I am still afraid that I have ‘stolen’ it from somewhere else, subconsciously ofcourse…) Earlier this year I added some chords to it, hoping that it would lead to something more tangible. Some time ago I went looking for pellas that could make a nice fit. All the likely candidates sounded like they could work, but Moira’s pella sounded the most promising. And since remixing her was on my wishlist, it was an easy choice in the end.
Maybe the oboe solo sounds a bit out-of-place or even self-indulgent, but it led to the chords, which in turn shaped the rest of the song, so I decided to keep it (being the self-indulgent basterd that I am).
I have also added midi files for the original chords and the (oboe) solo. Right-align them and they should be perfectly in sync.
